During week nine, we were assigned a business to design a logo for and the company I got was Live Good Fitness. There are three parts to this assignment to simulate the real life process of designing a logo. First step of design is to research your company, figure out the target audience, and make some rough sketches. Then you would show the roughs to your client to see if this is the direction they want to go forward with before moving to step two; designing the mock ups and ultimately designing the finished logo.
So to simulate the process of a client choosing which of your sketches they prefer, we made a pole for our classmates to vote for their favorite designs before we proceed with the process.
Design Brief:
One Life Fitness is a one stop destination for a healthy and fit lifestyle. Primarily focused on 20 to 30 year old college-educated and middle income people from all genders. A more personal and comfortable workout experience then the bigger gyms can provide, with one on one trainers, fitness classes, weight management programs, and state of the art facilities.

A small, local and friendly fitness studio that wants to invite everyone to feel like they can achieve their fitness goals. Conventionally gym provide a competitive environment that might feel hostile to newcomers but One Life Fitness is about making guests feel at home. The tone required for the logo is fitness, health, modern, comfortable and local.

Great job with your sketch ideations. I’ve placed my vote for my top choices but I generally think that the options with less details might work better at smaller sizes when scaled down.
